I just must paint outside. Full moons pull me to paint the power of luminescence.

New Moons pull me into possibility and shadow. The gradations of light impact my process; colors are dimmer and I rely on my mind’s eye and the subtle speaking of shades.

I seek a direct connection to my process and often the immediacy of my work demands that I paint with my hands. In gestures practiced for over two decades, I blend colors directly on the canvas, working wet on wet.
