True confessions: Although I have been painting for nearly three decades, I still have a heck of a time figuring out where to hang art. I have an embarrassing number of nail holes throughout my house. And let’s not even talk about what happens when I rearrange furniture to complement art.

Ta-da! I’m introducing a way to digitally preview my paintings from AliciaRPeterson.com on your walls without physically changing your space.

On any listing page, there are now three options to preview a painting.

Option 1: Upload Photo
Use any image saved to your phone or desktop as the potential space for the painting. Follow the instructions given to define the area and dimensions to properly scale the artwork.

Option 2: View in Demo Room
Preview the painting in a predefined stock room. This option helps give a quick sense of scale.

Option 3: View in AR (augmented reality)
This is available for mobile devices. After installing the ArtPlacer app, selecting this option will allow you to preview the artwork live in your space through your phone camera.

  • Susan, Yes, I also experience one art work changes much. I am charmed by the idea of a creating a large sculpture.

  • I find whenever I add a new piece it affects the whole room and sometimes the whole house. For me it’s part of the fun of a new piece and the new arrangement helps the old seem new again. It’s like creating very large sculpture from found objects.
