Embracing the Dark Night, I find my light

Dance with me
I am continually amazed at the power of art to transmute us.
When I am angsty, I have a heck of a time getting myself to paint. Yes, I know that is exactly what I need. Do I always go into my studio right then? No! I admit I can turn to crunch, salt, fat, an escape movie, and a glass of chardonnay. But I do eventually get into my art studio even if my feet are dragging.

And, oh, here is the magic. When I mindfully welcome all my colors (emotions) and give them space to be, I find peace. I find beauty in shadow. I share this with you.
