Salty two-member teams are challenged to build a boat and paddles in five hours.

Each team is supplied with wood and adhesive materials. There are no nails or screws allowed; only cable ties and the maritime adhesive/sealant SikaFlex.

Sika sponsors boat building races throughout our nation.

Just Completed: 1776 Whaleboat Project, a 25-foot eighteenth century historically accurate whaleboat with a working cannon. Whaleboats were used as part of a spy ring bringing vital information to George Washington’s troops.
