Waves: An Entanglement of Art and Science

I was at the first Earth Day! As sixth graders at P.S. 20 in the lower east side of Manhattan, we had a class project to study pollution. To our delight, we made art out of garbage. At the earth day gathering we held up our home-made signs raising our voices to protect mother earth. It was a profound experience for us.

Fast forward to now, I am honored to be part of a collaboration of artists and scientists as we raise our voices again.

  • I am inspired by your vision of my work. The scientist curator has a different view. I welcome the differences.

  • COSMIC RIFT reminds me of what rubble I might see at a Long Island Sound beach while ENGULF brings to mind the beautiful, rippling waves of the Carribean seas.
