Why Paintings Cry

When I was first called to paint in 1994, I held onto my paintings with all my might.
I had stacks of canvas boards throughout my home. Overwhelmed by my painting abundance and running out of room, I asked Kelly, my best friend (since fourth grade) to help me. She had to pry canvas out of my gripped hands for me to let go of “not good enough” paintings.
Now, I hear my paintings cry. They are lonely and longing to be out in the world.
For now, all my work is 30% discounted. Go to my website and it will happen automatically.
And here are some hidden gems not on my website. Do they call to you? Reach out to me at alicia@aliciarpeterson.com or my business cell at 631-637-6937.
Beholding beauty transmutes us.

Gestures poured out of me in this early work. No I don’t remember why I called this painting Capture.

Once in a blue moon, when I am in hyper flow mode, a work is completed in one flood of creativity. This happens oh to rarely! I want to jump into this painting and bask in the harmony. How about you?
